Helene Caroline Therese was born on the 4th of April 1834 as the first daughter of Duke Max in Bavaria and Duchess Ludovika in Bavaria.

Her nickname was "Néné'. and she actually was ment to be the wife of Emperor Franz-Joseph of Austria.

His mother Archduchess Sophia and Helene's mothe, Duchess Ludovika, planned it together.
